As usual, I couldn’t sleep. I ended up watching a classic movie called Penny Serenade. You know, black & white. Cary Grant. Some prude who never takes off her apron and always buttons her shirt to the top.
I have two words for this movie: lame.
I realize that classic movies are supposed to be the height of Hollywood glamor and awesomeness, but man, they suck. Hardcore. Total snoozefest. I’d rather watch a Matthew McConaughey chick flick. But you know what? I think I’ll keep it on my shelf so people can still think of me as one of those people who appreciates old movies. As a matter of fact, I’ll set it right next to my antique copy of War & Peace that I’m not even going to pretend that I’ve ever cracked open, which looks great right next to my vintage camera that I’ve never used.
This conversation naturally makes me think of other things that I dislike: women.
When I think back on it, women really haven’t changed all that much since elementary school, when I’d come home and burst out into the ugly cry over something a mean girl did. I was hoping that when I got past college, they would stabilize. Nope. Still crazy. Although the reasons behind the craziness may have changed with time, they are still, very much, crazy. Hating other women for no good reason. Asking their boyfriends the world’s most stupid questions. Flipping out on poor unsuspecting men. Bursting with ravenous jealousy. I can’t even count how many women I’ve been told that hate me, that have never actually talked to me.
Let’s look at a few demonstrations of female behavior over the past twenty years of my life.
[4th GRADE: the betrayals begin]
Me: Hey Annie, wanna come over tonight and we can organize our sticker collections? [Yes, we really had them]
Annie: Um, actually, I’m going to Becky’s house after school. Oh, I don’t think I told you that we had a talk and she wants to be “secret best friends” with JUST me. Isn’t that mean?
Me: Psssh! YEA! I thought we were all best friends?
Annie: Yea, but she wants to leave you out.
Me: Well you told her that was a stupid, crappy idea, right?
Annie: Well, actually…um…. we ARE secret best friends now. Just her and I.
Me: UM, so I see that our three-way best friend NECKLACES mean nothing to you! Huh? You lying, backstabbing, dirty little tramp!
[10th GRADE: the unwarranted hatred and jealousy begin]
Friend: [leaning in so close to me that I’m forced inside my locker] Amber doesn’t like you!
Me: What? Wait. Who the heck is Amber?
Friend: The girl who hangs out with Margie.
Me: I don’t even know her.
Friend: But she’s totally spreading rumors about you!
Me: What? Rumors? But why?
Friend: Well, she likes Andy. But Andy likes you.
Me: Ok. But how can I help THAT? Besides, I wouldn’t date Andy in a million bagillion years.
Friend: Well. She’s pissed. And she’s telling everyone you’re a spoiled beotch!
Me: Spoiled? That isn’t even kinda true. I work at Chuck E. Cheese and drive a 1964 Dodge?
[25 YEARS OLD: the false rumors and accusations begin]
Me: You know who I really like? Sandy. She’s so nice.
Co-worker: OH, that’s weird. Cus Sandy is not a fan of you.
Me: Not a fan?
Co-worker: I overheard her talking to someone, but I can’t say who. Anyway, she said that the boss favors you cus you got Employee of the Month again.
Me: But I out-performed everyone in the department? They would be breaking their own rules by not giving it to me.
Co-worker: Well I don’t know. That’s just what I overheard.
Me: What am I supposed to do? Suck at everything so Sandy will like me?
Co-worker: I’d try to stay on her good side if I were you. She’s telling everyone that you’re cheating on your boyfriend.
Me: WTF? I don’t even have a boyfriend.
As we can see, there is no rhyme, reason or logic going on here. And I’m not saying I hate all women. Just the ones who are ridiculous.

I am 27 years old, writer (just like you!), always grew up shy, tall, white, fairly attractive according to boyfriend. There were times when other girlfriends (see? they are back-stabbing) would tell me things about not liking me when they first met me, etc, etc. The thing that pissed me off the most is my quietness and attractiveness (and one could say, inability to be fake) rubbed off on some girls the wrong way. Which is totally odd because I tried to be a really nice person, though quiet.
So needless to say, this has been an issue for me for some time. Today, it made me so mad that I typed in “why i hate women” and saw this post. Thank you for being honest and exposing this irrational nature. I suppose it’s comforting to know that bitchiness and jealousy often go hand in hand, but it still doesn’t make me feel better when girls act this way (I live in Scottsdale, btw – second only to LA when it comes to fake b*tches).
I should also qualify that older more experienced women don’t act this way, or at least not as much. I don’t mind them.

I don’t really hate women, I’m just tired of being treated badly. I have been married for 25 years, We have stuck by each other through a lot of crap! But we are at a point where we are just two people sharing a house. She has told me for the past 25 years that if I felt like she told me to and did what she told me to do that everybody would be happy. She spread rumors and the another neighbor and her teenage daughter walked past my house w/ their noses in the air. False rumors increased and now everyone knows and hates me. I have 2 sort of friends but all their friends hate me. and let me stress LOVE TO HATE AND ETERNALLY CONDEMN/OSTRACIZE. I don’t get it since I judge noone and if someone did confide in me about something big or small, past or present (my booboo was 17 years ago when i was 22 and single), I would never abandon or betray them.

I agree with everything you’ve written in this article – despite being in a serious relationship and enjoying it, I can’t help but despise a lot of women for their sheer manipulative and changeable characters. There are nice girls out there (luckily for me) but it really gets on my nerves when women:

I came to usa at a young ago about 23 years ago and am now 32. The problem is that I have seen feminism go rampant in america around 10 years after I came here. It is a disease that has caused america to have no morals in society and already america was decadent when I came here. The problem is that now women are as immoral and many times WORSE than men and this is something that no normal man or woman will tolerate!

1. Why are(some)women so emotional?
Even as a girl myself I honestly can’t answer that. I personally don’t see it as a good thing to let your emotions rule your being, when you do that, you’ll just cause yourself to be easily swayed and loose sight of your reason&logic. The most trouble I have with being emotionally unstable is my temper(got that from my dad) lol
2. Why are(some) women so shallow?
Well I’d answer that with why are(some) men so shallow?
And then conclude it to be halfly the fault of the media for setting such a bad example for people.
3. Why are(some)women so materialistic?
I could never understand this one!Men are too, but one thing about women’s materialistic behavior that angers me, is their obssession with flashy expensive wedding rings! It’s a symbol of love people! Not how much your man has in the bank! *facepalm* and don’t even get me started on the shoes!High heels and stilettos!? Forget it! If I can’t walk, run, or fight in them I’m not wearing them. I don’t even consider them shoes, I like to call them foot accessories.
4. Why do(some) women play “coy” or “hard to get”?
Another thing I can’t stand about some women! For once I can’t say I’ve seen a man do this. I always thought this was a terrible “test” method to use on men. Either you like them and want them or you don’t, just make up your mind! Speaking of making up your mind, this leads us to…
5. Why are(some)women so indecisive?
I think that the emotionally unstable issue I mentioned in #1 plays a big part in the reason, if not the entire reason. Though men can be just as bad. Humans period can be indecisive. Once again a dangerous lack of rationality and reason.
6. Why do(some)women worry so much about appearance?
I never undertood peoples obsession with looks. I know it feels great to look good but some women act as if it’s the be all and end all of their existance.

“does this make me look fat?”
“does my hair look bad?”
“does my make-up look terrible?”
And notice how they get shocked and offended when you answer “yes” to any of those! As if they’re expecting a “you look great!” eveytime they ask. What’s the point of asking questions like that if you don’t want an honest answer?
“Flaunt it while you have it” is a terrible reason in my opinion. Because “flaunting it” mught give you some greatly unwanted attention.
Lastly
As many questions as I have about why some women are so foolish, really it all concludes to why are some people so foolish?
From what i’ve learned, having any flaw is not gender specific, it just matters on how you were raised and what environment you were raised in. In all how you were taught and what your perception of things are.
Men and women have flaws, but ridiculing and tearing eachother down about it is not going to solve anything.

I absolutely hate women as well. Fickle, confused, selfish, lying little fucks. They’ve done nothing but leave a wake of torment and pain in the lives of those around, including my own. As for me, a lot of it is because I loved and cared too much, but no more. It’s only pure hatred now. And it all started with my mother cheating on my father because of a slew of nonsensical reasons upon which even she can’t agree with own fucking self were true. Every girlfriend who I treated with the utmost dignity and respect, and who I loved as best as I could, I could never please because I just was never good enough, or good looking enough, or sucessful enough. I guess this is what happens when one finally discovers the root of his suffering: rage and hatred become his life. I just wish I could be a child again, unperceptive of people’s corruption and BS, especially women’s. Life was so much simpler back then. Now all I feel is anger, bitterness, loathing, loneliness, despair, and misery. Oh and utter heartbreak, ALL THE TIME. It’s a never ending battle…and it wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for WOMEN. If it wasn’t for my mother’s promiscuity, my step mother’s extremely abusive behavior, my girlfriends’ fickleness, shallowness, selfishness and pretentiousness. People say, “Oh, the right one is out there,” and “don’t judge an entire race off a few ‘bad apples’.” Well, I’m sorry, I’m a very logical person and I judge things by trend. My two main problems with women is that so many of you refuse to take responsibility, especially emotional responsiblity for the things you do and say; and a general lack of selflessness, which you nevertheless always expect from your significant other.
Now, as a guy I am well aware that most guys are no saints, either. But some of the behavior I’ve seen from women, and even more so the way they process resp. don’t process it, is appalling to say the least.
E.g. far too many women who cheat on their spouses never even *think* of themselves as cheaters. It always “somehow just happened to them”. But they’re “totally not a slut”. In fact, since “it happened to them”, it’s not somthing they did, so they’re not responsible, and thus they don’t feel guilty.
At 33, I can probably look forward to being cheated on a couple more times. And when it comes out, it’s invariably the guy’s fault. Either he works too much, or he works too little. He’s either neglecting her, or being too clingy. But it’s his fault, never hers.
The other thing, selflessness. As a guy, I hate typical girlfriend ideas, like going to street fair on saturday. But, I know that it makes her happy, so I’ll play along. And not as in “letting myself be dragged along”. No, I’ll come to her and suggest it myself. Only because I know it’ll make her even happier. True selflessness doesn’t ask for anything in return. I’m not reminding her, not implicitly let alone explicity, that I’m actually doing her a favor. I want her to be happy.
The problem? Most women will instantly take it for granted and will not be grateful at all. If you don’t remind them that you’re in fact just doing them a favor and that you’d rather do something entirely different than spending your saturday outside in the cold looking at self-made trash, she’ll assume that you’re into it yourself. And I kind of can be. The appetite comes while eating, in a manner of speaking. Approaching things with a positive attitude even though you are not initially into it yourself and you would never seek it out on your own, goes a long way toward that activity being way more fun that if you’re in that mindset of merely letting yourself be dragged along.
But women, on the other hand, have never shown that same level of selflessness in a relationship, even though I’m not a difficult guy to figure out and the things I’m into are neither gross nor complicated to guess at or realize. And even if women do you a favor, they will always remind you that they are “just doing it for you”, and by extension, that you owe them something in return. But that’s not a real favor, then. It’s not one of those little mutual gestures of selflessness that (in my hopeful, naive male dreams) make a good relationship work.
Most women only ever take, and never give. At least that is my personal experience. I’m afraid I will never again… well, not never again trust women, so much as not trust *my own* trust in any woman. They are horrible, absusive beings, by and large. And at my age, the good ones are all taken.
I think it’s just the whole human race that I hate.
So I’m a gay guy that hates women. No… not a straight man that ‘turned’ gay because I hate women (the way there are many ‘lesbians’ are only lesbian because they hate men) I’m just regular ole gay. I have never understood how people can so easily lump all females OR all males into these stereotypical categories. I am female and happily married to a “nice guy.” The main difference between him and these nice guys that whine because, no matter what they do, women walk on them is that he is a genuinely nice person WITHOUT being a doormat. If you walk around being needy with women (and trust me, a ton of men out there are), you are going to attract the these shallow, vindictive bitches you are speaking of. The good women are going to run away as fast as they can, because you are coming off as a needy, emotional wreck of a person that is desperate for female attention. Nice guys are attractive to sane women, doormat guys are not! Just like needy doormat women, they always end up getting hurt and eventually grow to hate men. They never look inside and try to work on themselves and their own emotional issues. They are attracting assholes every time, and don’t even realize it. Eventually, they come to believe that these must represent all men, because it is all they have experienced. This is bullshit! Both genders in this country have an insane amount of assholes, and I think much of this is due to media influence. The media has taught women to be vain, materialistic, shallow bitches and men to be arrogant, chauvanistic, shallow pricks for decades. Rise above this shit, people. How bout we start by looking at everyone as HUMAN first, gender second. The false assumptions and hating are not going to change anything, it is only fueling the fire.
To all these people going on and on about how badly women treat men…do you honestly believe the reverse is not true? Most women who treat men poorly either A)Learned this behavior through home life or our lovely media, or B) Have been incredibly hurt by men themselves, and eventually reach a breaking point and become emotionally cold and uncaring. You know how many women I know that hate men because of the domestic violence, rape, molestation they had to endure? My own mom lived in constant fear for 11 years because my violent father constantly reminded her that he would kill her if she left. She was beaten on many occasions while I sat in my room crying because I was too scared to try to help her. Luckily, some people (men and women) learn to mature and overcome this shit. When you get past your own pain, you start to realize that there ARE plenty of good men and women walking around out there. Look inside yourself first…most of us perpetuate our own misguided perceptions about people without even realizing we are doing it. And when you do meet assholes of either gender, just walk away. As for a lot of the comments, these posts are crazy and full of anger. This is just a waste of energy, its not possible for every woman or man on the planet to be the same as every other woman or man. People who are thinking this way need to travel more, even if its only visiting different parts of your own state or country. As for feminism being the cause of americas problems, its not, none of the arab countrys have feminism and men treat women there a lot worse then american men ever have or will. Feminisms main problem was that it broke the old structures down, then went away without building a new way of living. Many feminists had no real idea of what true equality is or how to get it. But this does not matter as soon it will return in a new way and tie up all the loose ends.
I too am disturbed at how nasty some women can be to each other, how much envy of each other drives them to oppress other women. I did not get to find out that things were like this until my middle 20’s when i went to university. I know now that its not just men who have held women back, so realise that feminism in its old format can never free humans from gender inequality. This list is hilarious! I grew up with sisters and a few cousins, so I’ve heard too much about or seen most of this list first-hand. It inspired me to a write a bit myself: things Crazy Women do that guys will never understand:
1. Shunning–exclude one person or group from society in order to form a stronger society or group of friends. Worked for the Nazis.
2. “Beauty” magazines. Most men like a skinny, somewhat-curvy figure (note: not skinny as in fashion runway. Skinny as in a normal, healthy woman). Men, having more visual and physical sex drives than women do, appreciate seeing this. That’s the female figure capable of carrying babies–evolution made us like it. Beyond that? Every man has different preferences for his ideal woman both in terms of personality and appearance. One thing we don’t care about is the “societal standards” for beauty that women claim oppression by, and for which they blame men. I can’t help but notice my female friends are the only ones enforcing these standards. The guys are too busy checking out the women they do like. They’re not writing the next Cosmo issue.
3. Slut shaming–with the exception of terrible misogynists, I’ve never met a man who actually cares if a woman has slept around. A woman who manipulates people with sex? That’s different.
